MyGrahak is an online grocery store governed and managed by Rei Six 10 Retail Ltd., a retail chain network of more than 350 stores within NCR, Punjab, Baddi and Nagpur. This was one of the first attempts from a retail grocery premier to enter the social media universe and market their network of offline stores. Now, they wished to infiltrate social media websites, interact with their target audience and augment the demand for their products. wished to utilize social media to attain their goal of redefining lifestyle, creating a hassle free user shopping experience and building a brand value and relationship with their target audiences.

Objective: To fabricate an active online community of shopaholics and homemakers (especially women).

Execution: Team BrandAppZ developed & maintained a Facebook Fan Page for As the target group was women, and the online purchasing was concerned with food & grocery items, we developed a ‘Recipe Contest” for all the fans, on Facebook. It was a Voting based Text Contest which invited simple yet innovative recipes from all the fans.
The contest used Facebook plugins such as Like, Share & Comment, to maximize engagement. The recipes were exhibited in the form of a Notebook/Diary, a concept cherished by the majority of participants. ‘Facebook Connect’ feature handled the Registration process & the Automatic Wall Post feature boosted the application user base. Contest Banners were inserted in the website and a fan box was also inserted so as to redirect website traffic to the Facebook Contest Application.
